Spare cricket kit anyone??

Our son (12) has just started some cricket coaching & is very keen!
Before committing to buying a load of new gear for him we just wondered whether we try the nearly new / 'second hand' route initially.
If you are able to help / point us in the right direction, we would be v appreciative.
