Putting power back into local hands

I've been alerted to a cross-party organistion - Local Works (http://www.localworks.org).
It's the campaign group for the Sustainable Communities Bill.
Next meeting will be in Farnham, Thursday 10 November. 19.30-21.00 at Church House, Union Road, Farnham.
Speakers will include Jeremy Hunt, MP for South West Surrey, Steve Shaw (Local Works Camapign Co-ordinator) and a third speakers, yet to be confirmed. The meeting will be chaired by Councillor Victor Scrivens (Waverly Borough Council).
The movement aims to bring more power back to Parish and District Councils and away from Whitehall.
Looks interesting.
