Carnival - Robin (15th Oct 2011 - 08:58:04) Is it true that this years carnival is the last as the Police want too much money to 'Police' it next year. I hope this is just a rumour as my family love the Liphook carnival and the village has such a great 'feel' to it.

It is true that we do now have to make a payment to the Police for their presence, but this will not mean the end of Liphook Carnival. It does mean that we have to raise more money throughout the year to fund staging the Carnival, and that is why we call on the good people of Liphook to come along and support our fundraising events such as The Fun Day, Quiz and Sponsored Walk. The rumour that Liphook Carnival is ending seems to circulate every year, not sure where these stories start!? Fear not, Liphook Carnival is here to stay! See you all on the 29th October! It has always been a great night for me and the family and we look forward to many more. A big thanks to everyone that gives their time so freely to make it happen.
