Carnival countdown - Karen Feeney (11th Oct 2011 - 09:49:09) Hello! Not long now until Carnival, and if you pass A3 Sports everyday, you can all countdown the actual days - I come out in a cold sweat every time I drive past now! This is when we have to start pulling out all the stops to ensure everything runs smoothly and I am asking for your help with this. We have an enormous amount of 'road closure notices' to post through people's doors between now and Carnival night. I am starting mine this weekend. If you do have a spare hour and fancy a little stroll, we need to post a notice through every door of every house that is on a road that is closed on Carnival night. Re: Carnival countdown - joanna elliott (12th Oct 2011 - 21:57:13) Hi Karen, I will be helping with the marshalling at the bonfire in Radford Park but on a slightly different note....the new Heritage Centre have a stock of carnival books (great pics of past carnivals from the last 100 years) and wondered if you will be selling these in the run up to and on carnival day? Let me know if you want to pick a supply up. For anyone else reading this.....the books retail at £5 and are a good read! (Dare I suggest this early.....Christmas presents?).
