Orange and silver ambulance

Just out of interest but why are there orange and silver Ambulances?. Always assumed they had been green and yellow?. Apologies for random question but saw one in the petrol station this morning and wondered.

Hi Margret,
N.H.S Ambulances are green and yellow, with roof mounted blue lights.
Any other colour combination, are from private clinics, and hospitals, with out blue lights.
