Knockers Tunbridge / Paddock Way - Rosemary (31st Mar 2023 - 18:20:56) Just a cautious note. Today we had a well spoken man cold call at our front door. My husband dealt with him and he seemed polite enough. He was apparently doing a survey on radio communication which seemed a little odd. We watched him leave along the road looking into the neighbour’s properties . It did look like he was taking note of peoples properties. Who was in or out. Possibly his radio survey was just a cover story for later crime. Anyway stay safe and be careful what you tell him if he knocks on your door.

I did not engage, and said politely I was not interested...goodbye. I have never heard of a "radio survey", and he did not mention any radio station. In my judgement, a clever scam, prying on locals to give information about their status, and living, and to target latter. Always beware of unsolicited door knockers, or bell ringers, they are often up to no good.
