Witness appeal
- Editor (1st Feb 2023 - 17:06:39)

From East Hants Police...

We are investigating a series of theft from vehicles and burglaries reported in Liphook overnight between Monday (30 January) and Tuesday (31 January).

It was reported that at approximately 1.10am entry was gained to a garage at an address on Canada Way and two bikes were taken along with various other items. The bikes were later recovered.

It was also reported at approximately 2.50am that entry was gained to a property on Tunbridge Crescent and a wallet was taken. Car keys were also taken and used to steal a car parked outside.

We also received four reports of theft from motor vehicles on Heron Way, two reports on Lark Rise, and further reports from the below locations:

• Fletcher’s Field
• Goldfinch Avenue
• Terracotta Way
• Furlonger Place
• Brickwork Avenue
• Edmonton Way

In each case, entry was gained to parked vehicles and various items were stolen.

These incidents are currently under investigation and enquiries are underway. Officers will be in the affected areas carrying out increased patrols over the coming days. Anyone with concerns or questions is asked to please approach them.

We are keen to hear from anyone who lives locally who we have not yet spoken to who has information that may assist our enquiries. Perhaps you have Ring Doorbell or Dashcam footage from the area at the time?

We appreciate that these incidents took place in the early hours of the morning, but if anyone heard or saw anything suspicious then we would also like to hear from them.

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting 44230041239. Alternatively go online and submit information via https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report

Glad they're doing something this time unlike the last round of burglaries.

Is being available to talk to residents for 60 minutes ' Doing Something ' ?

Public Relations exercise.

The country is sadly broken.

Like many others, we had a visit from these muppets who literally didn't care about security lights, CCTV etc. They know there will be no police response, and the best we can hope for is a crime number. I saw them very calmly discussing which house to try next - they weren't worried about being caught.

The Police sitting in Sainsburys now is literally bolting the door after the horse has been stolen - what's the point?

I wouldn’t blame the Police, go a bit deeper and blame the people further up, and then come right back around to yourselves whom voted to put those people further up in power.
