Zebra Crossings

Just a note to all parents taking young children to school in the mornings.
Please do NOT allow then to run ahead of you to the zebra crossing.
They stop correctly at the crossing - the traffic then stops - but your child will not cross the road because you are still 100 yards behind them.
Eventually the traffic has to move leaving the child standing - this is a very dangerous situation and could lead to an accident.
So, please keep your children away from the crossing.

bizarre that parents allow their children to run ahead of them around roads anyway...
