Missing houses - Darren (24th Dec 2022 - 14:21:02) Afternoon all The Scouts mistakenly delivered a Christmas Card addressed to 'Russ & Irene, 9 The Avenue, Liphook'. Having walked up and down The Avenue in an attempt to deliver it myself I couldn't find number 9. What I did discover is between the entrance to Avenue Close the houses are numbered 7 and then 15. So we have three missing houses on The Avenue, 9, 11 and 13. My working hypothesis is that 9, 11 and 13 were demolished in the 50s/60s when Avenue Close was built. Anyone know? Thanks Darren

Re: Missing houses - MikeT (27th Dec 2022 - 23:06:13) I'm at number 15. I was thinking about re-numbering mine to 9,11, 13 AND 15, then I could deal with all the post for the missing houses. I liked the idea of keeping all the winnings and bank cards the missing houses would have delivered........the only thing that's stopped me doing it is dealing with the extra junk mail. Happy New Year to all and well done to Darren for finding Russ and Irene. You must be one of very few people in Liphook who doesn't know them
