Constant engine noise behind Station Road
- Mary W (17th Dec 2022 - 21:52:15)

Does anyone know where that constant engine noise is coming from at night, at the back of the shops in Station Road? Could it be from the gin factory, or whatever it’s called?

Just wondered if anyone has bothered to find out. It only seems to be constant and quite loud at night. I didn’t have the courage to venture round there at night.

Mary it’s probably freezer motors running; in the day time it’s masked by traffic etc try having a walk round in day light and locate it . It always sounds more at night in the quiet.

Enough courage to have a sly dig by naming a business though, it only takes a tiny seed that before long in conversation someone mentions that business and a response like “yeah but I heard their operation is noisy and keeping all the locals up” etc

Perhaps the better approach is to find out exactly what is making the noise and if it bothers you speak to them, for airing it on here has absolutely no effect, do a search for the amount of bonfire or dog barking posts…. Nothing happens
