Local eatery 3 Country lanes 0
- Scott (10th Dec 2022 - 08:23:03)

Not a problem with anyone eating wherever, whatever or how much it is good, bad or indifferent in anyones opinion.....but can't you just take the rubbish home or leave it in the place you eat it instead of chucking it everywhere at the first opportunity after you've scoffed it......Tunbridge lane and Church lane in Bramshott prime target. Loads of branded junk down there already. Not naming the company , its not their fault but the CUSTOMERS....And only been open a couple days.

Hi,
It should be the responsibility of the business premises that have been granted licence by the local council. They have to pick-up litter from their surrounding area not just immediate premises.
Other locations employees are tasked weekly to collect their branded rubbish.

On a personal level, discarding items no longer required to ones local environment, is very wrong including fly-tipping.
More should be down at a school level, to teach a culture that rubbish throwing is a disgrace to our society, and living area.

Other European countries like Austria are immaculate compared to ours. There citizens love their country, and are proud of its appearance.
Fines are implemented anyone found littering, which Austrian's young and old, do not like to do.

And so many Liphook residents can't wait for McDonald's to open

see how the rubbish is then .....

FAKE post, just attention seeking or stirring it up

McDonald’s on the A 3 is apparently now open, I do not think though it is the responsibility of company to go out into the lanes of Bramshott to go litter picking. I see all kinds of litter dumped in our country lanes - once found a bag of porno mags and Old style videos cassette dumped on a leafy verge in the countryside of Liphook.

Why should companies be held responsible surely it should be taught at home from a young age. My parents taught me put rubbish in your pocket and bring it home, or find the nearest bin. I taught this to my children and they have now taught theirs.

Unfortunately 'I' its not Fake or stirring it up....It was me that picked it all up. Would you have done the same? Sadly the same story this morning albeit a bit further up.
A kind hearted request on a community based chat forum....If you eat at the new big place on the A3 could you please dispose of your rubbish responsibly. Surely nobody can argue or find issue with that.....

Unfortunately it appears to be a fact of life that certain people who enjoy takeaway food also enjoy throwing said food wrappers out of their car.
You only need to read the first few threads about the McDonald's on the A3 to know that this issue was always going to happen.
There's only one word for this type of thing, Disgusting.... and I'm sure most of us have one word for those that do it!

When my kids were very young, they were allowed a first time trip to shop half a mile away to buy ice lollies. They came back without the wooden sticks. I asked the where they were and then requested nicely that they go back and pick them up and bring them home to go in the kitchen bin.

That first lesson set them up for life.

This was inevitable and it’s so depressing. I was dreading this eatery opening due to the incoming volumes of litter seen everywhere. As a litter picker I generally feel defeated by the attitude of many people who feel it’s appropriate to discard their rubbish on roads and in the countryside. Baffling and unnecessary.

Well I walked about 5 miles total round the village and surrounding areas today and saw very little litter and non from McD’s. Lots of disgusting dog poo though including some bagged up and left hanging off a tree!

Easy answer. Make the outlet on the A3 eat in only. Otherwise the Bramshott turn off will be a dumping ground like Griiggs Green.

If there are areas where people regularly throw stuff out of cars the council ought to be able to use cameras to monitor the areas and have the power to issue bigger fines. A few of these would start to reduce the problem
