Can anyone help? - Judy (23rd Sep 2011 - 13:59:20) On 8th November 2010 I had fell down a pothole at the entrance to Bohunt Car park! I badly sprained my ankle and I am now waiting for an operation! I am looking to find out if anyone can let me know if they complained to Bohunt about this pothole before my accident. Bohunt's insurance company do not admit liability! and unless I can find evidence to show that the hole was not previously reported I cannot claim! I have had to pay out for private physio therapy and will be off work for at least 2 weeks after my operation. I think they should cover these costs but unless any evidence is available that can prove negligence I will be unable to claim! This is unfair! Please can anyone help?

Re: Can anyone help? - helen (23rd Sep 2011 - 17:38:55) I feel sorry you sprained your ankle I did not know that there was an operation for sprained ankles? Were there any witnesses? did you take a photo of the pothole? are you sure bohunt own this land where the pothole was?

We seem to have a culture of blaming every one else bar ourselves and expect money to be payed out. Why should it be Bohunt who pays out ,and not the Highways? Surely all the children from Bohunt would have tripped over it too. Once upon a time we looked where we were going! Did you sprain your ankle or break it ? Is it going to cost you , and why can you not get it done on the NHS ? I had someone reverse into my car about two years ago, I was not hurt, but I am still called up about it, trying to get me to claim. I keep telling them I don't want to ,I find this culture of getting money very wrong.
