Seeking local charities!
- Vics (11th Sep 2005 - 20:45:06)

I am looking to complete a tandam skydive for charity but need suggestions for a local cause or charity. Any ideas please?

Hello.

My name is Tom. I am 18 years old and was planning to go to Mexico to teach children that don't go to school in a local libary in Bucerias, and also teach school children in the local school in Bucerias.

I would do this under the company 'Outreach International' and need to raise £3300 by December.

I think your skydiving stunt sounds really amazing and would be very appreciative if the money you raise could go to my fundraising money pot.

It would be great to help you set up the stun and look for sponsers etc.

Please let me know if you are at all interested by
e-mailing: future_businesses@yahoo.co.uk
or phoning: 01428 723333 / 07910811645

Thanks, Tom

Hi
I volunteer every Friday night for a group called Gateway. It is the volunteer arm of Mencap, so we raise all of our own funds.
It is a social group for adults with learning disabilities, we meet every Friday at Wispers school - as they donate the use of their hall. We collect 50p each week from the people that attend and we use the money and any donations to organise things such as a bowling evening or fish and chips by the sea. We would love to get enough money together to arrange a trip to London before Christmas to see the lights.
I know that there are lots of local charities that are deserving of donations, so I am sure that you will have difficulty deciding. However, if you would like to know more about Gateway please don't hesitate to contact me. Good luck with your venture, it sounds fantastic.
