Parish Council Resignation
- Phelim McIntyre (21st Sep 2011 - 13:41:53)

On Monday 20th, at the Parish Council meeting, a councillor resigned. Does anyone know who it was who resigned?

Of course we now have a vacancy on the council. We have a choice - either we can exercise our democratic right and call for an election by writing to the Electoral Officer at East Hampshire District Council East Hampshire District Council
Penns Place, Petersfield, Hampshire, GU31 4EX

Or we could allow the Parish Council to co-opt a member and be left out of any chance to influence the Parish Council and send a message to them about their behaviour.

Hi Phelim,

You just don't get it do you Phelim!

Cllr Austen Olsen resigned because he knows he was part and parcel of the corrupt few of the previous administration.

At Monday's meeting, which we note you did not attend, was the best PC meeting I have ever attended. Through their hard work the PC have now uncovered a web of corruption deceit and mismanagement seldom seen in Council business- the corrupt leading the corrupt and ignorant few.

I understand the now suspended clerk Groves, ex councillors Newman, Tough, Austen Olsen, Amey are now "out of it" and evidence will soon be presented that they were all "at it" to one degree or another. Good riddance to the lot of them and a sincere big thank you for the tenacity and courage of the new Council for bringing this debacle to the public’s attention at long last.

Nothing will be published in this week’s Herald of course as Gabrielle Pikie was "too busy to attend". Could she also be implicated, one wonders? Her reporting has certainly been sketchy to say the least and clearly biased in Newman and the other baddies favour.

Come on Gabby, report the truth of the matter and apologise to Cllr Evans, a good and honest man who, through your columns you have repeatedly questioned his honesty and integrity for far too long. Perhaps you too have your own agenda.

I note in this weeks herald mr austin-olsen is still stateing his mate groves is being persecuted.Well if mr austin-olsen hasn't got any morals and thinks wrong doing is ok there are plenty who don't think it's ok.All you get from people like him is to wine on about the charitable work they do. Most decent people who do charitable work just do it and don't blow there own trumpet trying to make out there a saint.
