Obscured vision on railbridge
- Carole (3rd Jul 2022 - 19:57:03)
Could the highways people trim the hedge and verge on the approach to the railway bridge on midhurst road. Coming out of station road the vision is limited, so much so you have to pull out blind. Also the width of the road going over the bridge is narrowed because of overgrown hedging

Have you contacted Hampshire Highways or do you want someone else to do it for you?

I don’t think the highway workers will see your request! Maybe best contact the council.

Quicker to do it yourself. I see someone's made a start

Carole, I raised the issue of bad visibility at junctions before and my concerns were met with ridicule and sarcasm just as yours have been. You're wasting your time raising genuine concerns here.

The original poster had a number of options, post on talkback to people who cannot do anything about the overgrown hedging or send an email to the authorities who could do something! Sometimes (and in some cases D quite frequently) some people do invite criticism or are challenged over pointless, banal or inaccurate posts on talkback. If you can’t stand the heat……..

This link should allow you to report it initially.
hants.gov.uk/transport/roadmaintenance/roadproblems/treehedge
Once you have a reference number, if it takes an inordinate amount of time, contact our Local Hampshire Count Councillor (Mrs Curnow-Ford) to get her to escalate it.

I wonder if the parish coincil groundsman could do it as an emergency?

Ian, given how you successfully got the grass at the end of your road cut recently, you would be a good person to help Carole with this. I'm sure you would find that more rewarding than constantly nit picking other persons posts.

D I am a different Ian to the one who you say is constantly nit picking, this is the first and last time I reply to this post. I managed to get the grass cut in our road by simply phoning EHDC and being put through to the relevant department.

To the Ian who made a totally irrelevant comment’ if you can’t stand the heat’, what the h—- are you on about.
I have emailed the council, so I am hoping it can be sorted before there is an accident
Thank you every body with useful suggestions

@ Carole
Your first post wasn’t asking the question to the correct person who could respond to your email
Ian quite promptly asked if you had asked the highways.
If you don’t want multiple comments on your issue then don’t post on here.
There are ways of getting your problem quickly sorted as Ian did,you only had to contact highways or was it that you expected someone to do it for you ?
I suspect the latter.
