RedLoxx Hair Towels
- Hollie (31st May 2022 - 10:43:43)
Hi everyone! Good news from RedLoxx Hair Design! The towel scheme we are running is working!
The scheme means that when our clients purchase a pack of 2 professional towels from us & bring them to every appointment, not only do our clients get money taken off their bill each time, help us out massively with our washing loads (by taking their towels home again) help save the environment but also this is helping our energy costs stabilise.
This means that if everyone continues to get on board & the scheme continues to cap our energy prices we (hopefully) won't have to raise our prices every time energy bills are set to rise! A huge win all round!
Rest assured we are only trying to help our lovely, loyal clients as much as possible. Times are really tough right now & all we are trying to do is keep going! Thanks to everyone for your continued support. Remember, we wouldn't be here without you! We hope you like the new window display too!

Hi Hollie
Why do we need to buy your “professional towels”?
Why can’t we just use what we have already?
What is the difference between your “professional towels” and those available to buy for example in a supermarket? Let’s face it once we have taken them away to launder at home, in with other things what is the benefit to buy your towels?
It’s just nonsense really.
The principle is good, but the sway of having to buy your towels isn’t.

Hi! The reply to :

It's just nonsense really.
The principle is good, but the sway of having to buy your towels isn’t.
Any professional (or logical human being) knows their tools / kit are different from 'supermarket' items. No hairdresser , beautician , carpenter or any other professional buys their tool kit from the supermarket do they!
It's the same as hairdressers not using low quality, packed with parabens & silica supermarket shampoo in the salon. The towels from hairdressing suppliers are the perfect size, shape , bleach resistant & made of micro fibre to dry quickly. These weren't available when all of our current towels were bought, so our thick cotton towels take a long time to dry.
If everyone bought their own, they wouldn't bring their best towels (I have had this happen) & so bleach stained , scruffy towels which are big & bulky ( won't fit round the basin when you have your hair washed ) materialize. This does not look "professional" at all & as professionals we cannot work round thick bulky towels (you can't get to the neck to cut hair.)
So there you have it. Not "nonsense really" but actually makes a lot of sense. No one is forcing anyone to buy the towels, but if you do & especially where money's tight you get money taken off your bill. I'm pleased to hear you think the idea is good. 🙂

Haha silly comment , just nonsense .....
Honestly if it's working for them let them be really has nothing to do with anyone els, it's great small local businesses are still thinking outside the box to keep themselves going and also great that it seems to be working, positives vides for these people/businesses not negative.

Delighted with this initiative. Saving money and the planet and the towels are thin and compact so they are easy to bung in with other washing at home and Super absorbant, compact and fast drying professional towels that can cope with wet hair while keeping clothes dry as well as being dye and bleach proof which is just what is needed in the salon.
Well done Hollie and the team for continuing to innovate and think about the environment.

Thank you Holly for this very educational response, hopefully people moving forward will value and see what an amazing idea this is. I am a little confused how anyone can be confused of the logic of the towel idea!! Why would you be in a towel from home? Why would you want to ? Why go spend X amount of money getting ur hair done with a sainsburys towel wrapped round your neck ? Is like going to the hairdressers with your own hair dye ? You just wouldn't do that ... Because the hair dressers of course have the dye for the quality and purpose of the service ? ALSO, the whole point of this scheme is A) to help a small business with their wash load ? Why we even focusing on the fact you need to buy it ? It's not like your making money from them buying it ? As your giving them money off EVERYTIME they come in with the clean towel ? So overall your loosing money ? Your saving them money in the long run? For the sake of spending an extra 4 pound on a one off ? Your obviously not going to give out free towels everyone... No one would so that. I just have so many questions on how people think...!? ALSO for anyone reading this, she also sells great shampoo and conditioner ( not tresmae, it is an professional brand with quality unfortunately) but I reccomend!!! To conclude, I get everyone has an opinion, that's fine, but if you don't agree just don't buy the towel .... It's just a scheme they are doing... You can also just come in and get ur hair done without taking part... Or, just don't come at all ? Although, unless you want to look like you just woken up from bed everyday, I would strongly recommend coming ox. Lots of love, A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER.
