I saw them working outside the new cinema so maybe something to do with that as they still have houses and a cafe to build on the site.
Probably be over next week as the schools go back and they can cause their normal hassle.
We really need a way to get from one side of the village to the other without going through the square.

AF the community have been telling the council for years that we desperately need a way around the square. EHDC just donβt want to no. Several suggestions have been made but no action . The most obvious one being bohunt manor northcote development witch would give us all we want lots of facilities for the community. But because itβs in the national park witch it should never have been there is a problem but it could be overcome with the right people dealing with it. We need to plan 10 years ahead and more.

It really is time lorries were banned from coming through the village unless they have a permit for local delivery/ collection.
Living on Headley road and seeing the volume of them this week, belching out noxious gases it is high time something was done about it. Forcing these vehicles to use the A3 and the A 325 would go along way to Improving the situation.
I am sure other roads have all been facing the same problem this week.

Russ- And yet time and again Liphook votes the same way, surely we must all be happy being ignored.

A ring bypass would finally end the nostalgia of Liphook as any kind of village, it would be no better than Chichester, a convenient ring road with allegedly something or other inside and lots of excuses for even more three quarter of a million pound 3 bedroom slightlydetatched houses with 40 foot gardens, but at least we could get out faster and Amazon could get to us quicker:)

Go to Farnham, Godalming or Guildford to see what proper congestion is!

Moan moan moan. The traffic in Liphook is no worse now than fifty years ago. The only difference now is that more children seem to be driven to school than walk, but no ring road is going to stop traffic around schools. Noxious fumes? Vehicle exhausts are cleaner than ever. (Cue innocuous carefully chosen link to supposedly prove I'm wrong.)
