Neighbourhood development plan
- Helen (27th May 2022 - 16:57:45)

I had a posting shared I think on Facebook, I cannot now find it. It was a posting about upcoming public consultation days on
various new housing sites that the Bramshott and Liphook NDP are proposing to include in their plan. Could someone in the know please post the dates and the sites on here please or point me to where the information on the consultations can be found? Thank you.

Helen,
I found the post on Facebook and this is what the Chair posted:

As Chair of the Bramshott and Liphook Neighbourhood Development Plan, we are holding 4 public events in June to hear and understand your views on -
8th Land Southeast Liphook
15th Penally Farm
22nd Traffic issues in the Square
29th Passfields Business Park
All welcome.

(shame he can't proof read his post and get his spelling correct.... Passfield)

I'm very pleased to see that our very long running Neighbourhood Plan appears to now be moving forward under it's new chair. I am, however, a bit concerned that they are now putting forward proposals for a large amount of housing developments in the village.
At this moment EHDC are only allocating Liphook 150 new homes over the next 20 years or so and SDNP aren't allocating Liphook any. The NDP appear to be thinking about allocation sites that could add up 600 homes to Liphook. If we then find SDNP needing to find some more houses they could approve the Westland Park (Bohunt Manor) site and Liphook could fond itself with up to 1200 homes being built, when at the moment we're only being allocated 150!!!

I suggest anyone who has an interest in the future development of Liphook, and it's surrounding villages, should take note of the NDP proposals and visit their events and put their opinion across.
The NDP isn't a done deal like the EHDC and SDNP Plans, we will have an opportunity to vote on it (at present likely to be in May 2023) so if the NDP isn't want the community want we can vote it down.

Same old neighbourhood plans. Not listening to the majority. The square is the main problem in liphook TRAFFIC getting round to the A3 . Ring roads should be the top priority when houses are being built. Lowesly park wimpy got away with not building the link between Headley road to Longmoor road complete shambles. The link between Portsmouth road and Longmoor road behind Bohunt school should be the top priority regardless of it being in the National park our future is far more important than a piece of unused farm land which is private and not accessible to the public. The neighbourhood plan people should listen to the majority they have had so many public meetings which have told them the same thing time and again save our square build houses where you can have a relief road make the developers but them in. Bohunt manor and Northcote would do just that in their proposal for houses with a lot more facilities for our village. But EHDC seem hell bent on putting houses in totally the WRONG place. .

Thanks for your replies all as M says 150 Is all we need everything else is just justifying the 8 years or more so far spent on the neighbourhood plan.

Hmm, surely the clue is in the name? It's a development plan not a 'we quite liked it as it was thanks' plan' 🏠🏡🏠🏡🏠🏡🤑😱

Development does not always imply houses, could be facilities like sports stadium or business parks? I agree these days it does mean houses. The plan though does not have to go with all the development proposals which come forward from landowners which is what they seem to be doing? They could just pick one or two.
