Bohunt - Claire (20th May 2022 - 18:29:26) I currently live in Brighton with my 9 and 4 year old. Our family are from Hampshire and my husband and I were thinking of relocating to West Sussex/Hampshire border with a view to finding a good balance of village/family life with an outstanding secondary school, Liphook seemed to tick a lot of boxes. Please can I get some honest opinions of the Bohunt School and life in Liphook. My husband died a couple of months ago so I’ll now be making the move on my own with the children and really need some words of wisdom and reassurance that it’s a good decision, my minds not made up yet! Thank you x

I can’t comment on the schools in the area at all but I’ve been really pleased with our decision to move to Liphook. I’m sure there will be many responses on here with lots of different opinions. My own experience is that Liphook offers a good balance of village life with the opportunity to travel easily to larger towns and cities nearby. Liphook feels safe, has many amenities on the doorstep and lovely surrounding countryside. It’s not for those who want a party lifestyle(!) but it’s relatively easy to get to the coast and London by car and public transport. I wish you luck in your move!

Like any secondary school, it has its fair share of challenges - but every teacher we’ve encountered is committed to giving our kids the best possible education. To echo what has already been said: Liphook is a very welcoming place. I’m so sorry for your loss; and if you move here, I hope you find Liphook to be a community full of warmth and new friendships.
