Re: Bluebells walk recommendation? - G (13th Apr 2022 - 12:30:22) Anywhere wetter than Liphook! Fernhurst has wonderful bluebell walks as does Northchapel and Ebernoe. They're well on the way now so don't miss them. Prob at their best in the next couple of weeks if it stays warm

Re: Bluebells walk recommendation? - JBS (18th Apr 2022 - 11:43:48) I see that the "Times" on Saturday on p4 of the Weekend section, suggests parking at Benbow Lake (Pond) in Cowdray Park and walking to the Queen Elizabeth Oak through the bluebell woods. I have no experience of doing this, but presume their journalist has done so (maybe a wild assumption, considering the current state of journalistic research?). I have found the bluebell walk at Hatchlands Park (National Trust) one of the best in the area, though it tends to get crowded. This is at its best now, but coinciding with the Easter weekend means even more crowds.

Re: Bluebells walk recommendation? - JBS (22nd Apr 2022 - 14:38:55) Hampshire Open Gardens Scheme Charity leaflet shows that the bluebell wood at Stancombe Lane, Bavins, New Odiham Road, Alton, GU34 5SX is open on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th April from 11:00 to 16:00 Admission £5 Child free. Re: Bluebells walk recommendation? - CJ (29th Apr 2022 - 14:10:57) Just had a wander through the best bluebell woods I've seen. Follow the signs for Bavins B&B near Alton. Only open today and tomorrow as part of the NGS. Entrance fee needed and delicious cakes available in basic facilities but definitely recommend it.

Re: Bluebells walk recommendation? - paul (1st May 2022 - 17:17:21) Hi, Great place to visit for Bluebells and other plant wonders is Ramster Gardens, Chiddingfold Postcode GU8 4SN. Adults £8, under 5's free, 6-17 year olds £3. On-site Tearoom. Other attractions include Sculpture Exhibitions. I have been there this time of year, and is a wonderful place to relax, and for mindfulness.
