Haslemere Beer Festival - Sudha (19th Aug 2011 - 10:23:06) Hello, Anyone from Liphook been to one of these before? I believe this is their 5th year and they raise funds for Charities as well. Do you think we can organise one like it in Liphook? We too could raise some funds towards causes in the village perhaps. Who will be interested,I wonder? Sudha

These kind of events need alot of advertising as interest seems to snowball year after year. Beer festivals seem to be alot more popular these days with most reasonable size places hosting them (Petersfield, Alton, Haslemere, Selborne, Beacon Hill to name a few) Bohunt sports hall would be an ideal sized venue, or even the Millenium Hall. Not sure how the licensing of these work. Most of them offer some kind of rudimentary food such as hot dogs etc - all good for profits! I'm sure it would be a profitable experience for any local organisation wanting to host one - maybe speak to the organisers in other towns (round table etc) to find out how to get it moving.
