By-election ? - Editor (12th Aug 2011 - 19:59:49) Hot from Twitter ... ALDC - Forthcoming By-Election - East Hampshire DC, Bramshott & Liphook. with a link to a Lib Dem site quoting Thursday 15th September 2011 Con seat. Resignation and then the contact details for Michael Croucher. So, do the new councillors need to tell us something ? Alan

Re: By-election ? - Dawn Hoskins (13th Aug 2011 - 12:37:28) This is nothing to do with the Parish Council. Due to ill health, some vacancies have arisen at District / County. Those local councillors with a more political persuasion will most likely be putting their names in the hat. I haven't heard anything concrete yet though.

Re: By-election ? - dawn hoskins (16th Aug 2011 - 19:19:49) there have not been any meetings this month. I work full time so don't bump into other councillors unless a meeting is taking place. If you are desperate, why don't you pop a note into the Parish Office and ask? I am not the fount of all knowledge for goodness sake!

Re: By-election ? - Stephen (18th Aug 2011 - 08:49:51) I have checked with the people in the Haskell Centre today and they said there had been meetings this month. one they said was a website working party meeting which had been held in the building and another two meetings they knew about that had been held in the Millennium Hall. Dawn Hoskins said there had been no meetings this month so what on earth are these secret meetings that have been taking place? Dawn Hoskins hasnt bumped into Michael Croucher who is also a councillor at any of these meetings. Pull the other one its got bells on!!!! I do not believe a word you say.

Re: By-election ? - Jenny (18th Aug 2011 - 17:27:58) Here is the information about the forthcoming Bramshott and Liphook by-election, copied and pasted from the East Hants District Council website, who run District and Council Elections. As you can see, the nominations for Candidates had to be submitted by today. The local papers were sent Press Releases about these Elections, apparently almost two weeks ago, however the Liphook Herald appears not to have printed this important information. As usual - we wonder why. easthampshire.org/...
