2021 Food

I recently brought some curly wurly sweets a bit of a retro treat, is it me or have they shrunk, they seemed a lot bigger when I was a kid, I admit that was a number of years ago. Of course the tins of Quality Street have also shrunk.
And of course the bananas in Sainsburys are still green.

Interestingly life expectancy has shrunk in the UK as well, that will de down to Covid though

I forgot to mention that doughnuts seem to have very little sugar on them as well.

It is called 'shrinkflation' when the sizes get smaller but the price stays the same. You will notice things like canned goods. A typical can used to be 410gms, then it went to 400 and now some are 285gms. Price still the same.
