Stolen car - Abbie (19th Oct 2021 - 10:35:58) Our car was stolen from our driveway in the Meadow Way area in the early hours of the morning, 19/10/21. We believe between midnight and 5am and think it was likely between 3 and 4am based on where it was found in Surrey around 5.10am (about an hour and a half away.) We have been told that false plates were put on. We would appreciate replies from anybody who has any cctv, doorbell camera or other possible footage in Meadow Way or any road leading up to/from it where our car - a white BMW, or potential vehicles used to transport people to carry out the crime could show up so we can get in contact and forward to the police. Thank you.

Re: Stolen car - paul (19th Oct 2021 - 16:05:09) Hi Abbie, Sorry to hear of your temporarily loss of your car, it must have been a shocking experience. I do hope the culprits are found, prosecuted, and suffer long term punishment. In a rural, and more affluent parts of our village, crime often from outsiders "touring around", will always be vulnerable to resident theft's etc. I know it is difficult nowadays with limited modern domestic space. With any desirable cars BMW'S, Mercedes, Audi, and Range Rovers to name a few, is to be garaged and locked. Good outdoor security lighting can help, thieves like to stay unnoticed. A sturdy steering wheel lock may seem old school, but to criminals " it is to much hassle to bother". Out of sight out of mind is the best safe policy. Even renting a suitable lock-up for the vehicle, than being on show on a drive at night. Good luck.
