Fuel
- Andy (3rd Oct 2021 - 08:58:27)

Hi all

Long shot but with the boss (the wife) being just over 8 months pregnant I want to get enough fuel into the car(s) to ensure if we need to head to the hospital that we can get to either Guildford or Portsmouth…

Annoying thing is trying to find the fuel to put in the car, she has unleaded and my work car is of course diesel.

Any ideas where to just get £35 I think will be enough of fuel,

Sounds mad but also feel there are a lot of people struggling to find fuel which doesn’t have a queue longer than a football pitch.

Love and thank you in advance for your time and not having a pop at me, don’t want to take an ambulance from someone that might need it more

I use Google maps to help find petrol stations that have fuel without driving around. Select a petrol station on the map and then scroll on the left hand panel to see how busy the petrol station is. You should see a Live bar that can be compared against the normal levels. If the live level is significantly lower than normal, then the petrol station has no fuel. If it is higher, then it has fuel.

You can not tell if the petrol station has unleaded/diesel or both. Annoyingly, Google has removed this feature for many petrol stations now (probably because it thinks no one is using the petrol stations). You can also use the live traffic to judge the length of the queue.
