It could be fuel, food, or something else, that we need for ourselves, or family needs. To call people Muppets is derogatory to a great ensemble of comedy puppets. Kermit would sort it!

Re: watch out lemmings about! - Penny Williamson (25th Sep 2021 - 09:56:43) I think what Lyndon was drawing attention to is the short-sightedness of people who at the moment are buying petrol when they don’t really need to. It is not prepping, it is panic buying and this sort of behaviour causes shortages. The comparison to loo rolls is pertinent ie people buying in bulk in excess of what they would normally buy. During the height of the lockdown I saw somebody buy 68 toilet rolls. The queues at Sainsburys petrol station yesterday went back as far Lloyds Pharmacy. This is not normal behaviour – it demonstrates the selfishness of some human beings who have little regard for others and their needs.
