noise
- Thea (31st Jul 2011 - 18:09:08)

I'm new around here and don't want to be a spoilsport. But, I have noticed that the area around The Square and Portsmouth Road seems to be quite noisy at nights and weekend days.
We have enjoyed the Royal Anchor live music until 10.30pm -despite not attending the venue, simply from our living room! Also, during the day, we have had to listen to other people's very loud radios on long hot Saturday/Sunday afternoons.
Is this just taken for granted for people living in the centre of the village or perhaps this is NOT the rule? Does anyone else care?

Hello Thea and welcome to Liphook.

I'm not sure how near the centre you are but I suppose the answer is that if you live near the centre of any busy large village or town you must expect some noise and if you live near a very large pub then the same.

I don't live in the centre, but I would imagine it is quieter in the colder months of the year and people are just enjoying the warm weather and the holiday period at the moment.

Sorry, not much help but I think it's to be expected really.

Thanks for your feedback. I just wondered if anyone who lives centrally has a view?
