MEET THE BEES DAY 7th AUGUST LIPHOOK - Lorraine Ragosa-Rout (5th Jul 2021 - 13:07:38) Surrey Bees Training are Opening their apiary to the general public to come and MEET THE BEES on Saturday 7th August 2021. Would you like to become a beekeeper but not sure whether the hobby would suit you? Perhaps just interested in learning more about these fascinating creatures? Find out about the Bees: 60 minute sessions on opening hives and inspecting bees for those wishing to gain some ‘hands on’ experience on Saturday by prior appointment - surreybees@outlook.com. All equipment and bee suits are provided. You MUST bring your own wellington boots to protect your ankles and feet. Please come and join us; this is a great opportunity to meet the bees, our team and local beekeepers. Parking free. If you would like to have a hands on trial session with the bees please let us know so that we can book you into the sessions by completing the attached form and return to us at surreybees@outlook.com For more information and an idea of the content for the day, visit Bees and Beyond, the blogger of this site visited the year before last, and provides a really good insight into the session. COVID: Group sizes will be limited to 6 to ensure social distancing around the hive. Everyone will be issued with surgical face masks to ensure all are kept safe. We will have strict cleaning procedures in place, like this year’s courses.

Re: MEET THE BEES DAY 7th AUGUST LIPHOOK - Lorraine Ragosa-Rout (13th Jul 2021 - 11:12:18) Hi AA Yes it is suitable for children too, as long as they're sensible. We trained the UK's youngest qualified beekeeper, Archie aged 5....so no worries. MUST wear wellies though.

You are both booked in and looking forward to meeting you - pray for dry weather -not too hot but NO RAIN! :)
