Sky Broadband and land line - Don (21st Jun 2021 - 17:25:41) Anyone else lost their service this afternoon?

Re: Sky Broadband and land line - Lac (21st Jun 2021 - 22:58:59) I live in Liphook and as of 11pm 21st June Sky broadband is still not working. Been off since about 1.30pm. Anyone know why? Must be a big issue (digging through fibre cable, server going down, messed up software update or Russian cyber attack) . Take your pick!

Re: Sky Broadband and land line - Marion (21st Jun 2021 - 23:42:25) I called and was told multiple exchanges were down in Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex . Didn’t know the cause but they are working on it. Must be a major failure somewhere.

Hopefully it remains so but at least Liphook now features in fibre to the home plans from Grayshott Gigabit, Swish fibre and even the Openreach "fast paced" monopoly. Don't hold your breath though, another year or two (or 3 or 4?) before we can have fibre to our doors in Liphook. PS can we hope for an improved power supply too? The annual counts of power cuts go on, with the new style of 1 or 2 second ones really helpful. I've lived in Liphook for many years and not a year goes by without several power cuts. Living in this rural wilderness 45 miles from London has its price.
