Strawberry picking/Window cleaners?
- Virginia Crosbie (31st May 2005 - 16:30:58)

Hi there

Can anyone suggest where we can go strawberry picking with our two little ones?

Also - we need a window cleaner for our cottage in Milland Lane - any recommendations greatly received.

Thank you!

Virginia

When they are in season Country Market nr bordon is a good bet or Applegarth in grayshott

If you have a greenhouse you could be picking them now if you plant early enough

Have fun its nice to see parents letting there kids actually live a little and get there hands dirty

less cotton wool wrapped kids more mud pies

Try Durleigh Marsh Farm on the Petersfield/Harting road (A272). Also stunning rasperries (fruit, that is, not a byproduct of the strawberries!). Great diversion for kids.

My children loved Durleigh Marsh when they were young. In fact when my son strode purposefully up to the scales with half a dozen well thumbed strawberries in his punnet and berry juice and straw around his mouth the checker suggested we put him on the scales instead! Give it a try.

So how does a window cleaner pick strawberries? Surely strawberries generally grow on the ground so the ladder wouldn't be any use. Why would anyone ask for a strawberry picking window cleaner? Surely there must be very few of them around?
