DOGS BARKING - Anne (31st Mar 2021 - 12:31:41) Could the owner(s) of the dog(s) barking at 9.30/10.00 pm in Hollycombe Close have consideration for others, so annoying 😬

These people leave their dog/ dogs barking every day. We can all hear them and it’s antisocial and likely these dogs are neglected being outside alone all day.

Re: DOGS BARKING - M (31st Mar 2021 - 17:49:47) Commenting on here will have no affect at all. First: Find out exactly where the barking dogs are. Second: Speak to the owners and ask them if they were aware of the issue (some people seem deaf to their own barking dogs or aren't actually on the premises).You may need to visit once the owners return home, and possibly more than once. Third: If asking the owner (politely) if they were aware of the issue, and to see if they can make sure it doesn't re-occur, has no affect and the barking continues then report it to EHDC as a nuisance and ask them to intervene. Constantly barking dogs are a public nuisance, hence why EHDC can take enforcement action should the situation be on going and the owners take no action to remedy the noise. It's no different to loud music or all night parties.
