Biker fear
- John (27th Mar 2021 - 14:15:29)
Please report these b****rds on motorbikes on the footpath and fields below Gunns Farm. Join me with 999 calls before someone or their pet gets killed

I think one of them is someone known to the police for a long time who has caused various problems in that area.

Please do not call 999. This type of incident is not an emergency and instead use the non-emergency number 101.

What is the point in calling the police? When was the last time a policeman or policewoman was last seen in the village? I phoned and emailed the Hampshire Police Commissioner re the increase on our Council Tax, what a surprise absolutely no response at all!

Just correcting 'Slimetime'. The police have asked that 999 should be called if the incident is in progress. This person is a danger to life I'm afraid, be that human or animal, as he has no respect for other people. His actions are threatening when he screams up behind you on the footpath. And should he be a) on the footpath b) on private land c) on restricted byway d) on public byway without tax and insurance? No he should not.

I agree with John. Call 999. This person is a real danger and someone could easily be injured or killed. If you call 101 you will wait forever.

Completely agree that the Police & Crime Commissioners are a total waste of money. Why not give their 6 figure salaries to the county forces to be spent on policing? However, certainly West Sussex police's rural crime unit is getting behind the anti social behaviour of bikes and 4x4s on the Sussex Border Path. They are about and they can only help stop the perpetrators if they are informed when the incident is in progress. Not much point in calling 101 when the party is over

Speaking from personal experience having recently reported an incident virtually identical to 999, I was informed that what I was reporting was not an emergency and was redirected to 101.

Slimetime I don't know any of the details of the incident you reported. However I know that if you ring 999 and report an incident endangering life and people's safety the police will respond and attend.

Given how parents are not allowed to discipline their children at home, given how teachers are not allowed to discipline children at school, is behaviour such as this surprising? No.

D-one of the people that does this is middle aged-I don't think his parents or teachers are to blame.

I take your point, Passfield Resident. I'm not blaming teachers nor parents, I'm blaming the people who took away the right of teachers and parents to discipline children.

Is one of them the biker who uses Admers Crescent as a race track when he rides around it I wonder?
