Looking to adopt a kitten
- John (15th Feb 2021 - 15:27:15)
My elderly friends in Surrey are looking for a new kitten (preferably a ginger or a tabby). It would be a house cat (they live close to a very busy main road) but it would have access to a nice big house and would be very spoiled. Thank you

Try looking @ the Cats Protection in Haslemere,& do you think its wise getting a kitten so close to a main rd.?Cats wander & you cant keep tabs on them 24/7.

Hello John Have your elderly friends thought of adopting an older cat who has always lived inside? A friend of mine has just adopted a 9 year old tabby who for whatever reason has always been a house cat and he is perfectly content to live indoors 24/7 and is very affectionat. I agree with Ollie it might be very difficult to keep an eye on a lively kitten all the time, particularly when the weather improves and windows and doors are open. Also I think cats like the freedom of outside especially the younger ones. Good luck anyway - the Cats Protection are a wonderful organisation and do a great job of re-homing.

we just adopted a 7 year old from cat protection league in Haslemere. Lovely cat, full of fun but house trained and stable. Kittens are fun but only for a brief moment in time, do consider an olden. Despite what some say on Talkback, there are many advantages to the "oldies"

Absolutely - an ‘oldie’ anytime
