Glass
- Alex Smith (24th May 2005 - 16:03:29)

Anyone who lives down Malthouse Meadows will know what I'm on about. When cycling or walking past the entrance there is always glass sprawled across the pavments and road, which seems to be left by drinkers over the weekend. This is beginning to get more and more annoying as I have recieved several punctures on my bike, and that is no joke!
Has anyone else noticed this glass?!?

Hi Alex

I have!

The problem isn't only at Malthouse Meadows, but in the rec in general. More than once my children have been hurt by glass in the grass ending up in their knees or hands. In addition, it is also a pain in the paw for our four legged friends.

I'm not entirely sure what the answer is, short of a soapbox style rant about unsupervised children and youths out drinking.....
