PEOPLE NOT ABIDING THE COVID 19 RULES
- Ann (23rd Jan 2021 - 16:13:50)

Why can’t people abide the rules - non resident family and partners visiting their parents 😬

Report them. It is illegal. If you saw someone doing something else illegal you would so why not this?

It’s almost always work lads on vans breaking the rules, they are so weak they think wearing a mask affects their manly ness. Every time I see someone without a mask it’s typically a builder in a van off builders.

These people are coming to your homes to fix things, super spreader brain dead’s ! Big tough idiots killing our elderly up

Tom

Whilst you may be correct to a degree,it’s all trades behavior.
I have an electrician as a neighbour and he never wears a mask, regularly stays away from home etc etc.thinks he’s invincible, but more likely a silent spreader.

Households are also continuing with their weekly clean.
The cleaner does not wear a mask and trails all their equipment in and out.
It’s on the list of permitted, but really..!

So many examples of people breaking the rules,it’s incredible.
But selfish people are out there, always were, nothings changed.just self absorbed and arrogant.

If I reported every time I noticed someone breaking the rules I would never be off the phone.
Society need to be prepared to challenge others, albeit in a polite manner at the time.

I visit my elderly mother and I shall continue to do so, I collect her shopping as she can't get out, don't be so quick to judge

Rob you are not breaking any lockdown rules. People are able to form bubbles to cover just the situation your mother is in.

@Maz

I feel I must comment on your above post. I do believe you are doing working people a misjustice in your generalised comments.

"Whilst you may be correct to a degree,it’s all trades behavior.

I too am an engineer who works in customers premises and has to stay away for work. I don't wear a mask when I get in my van and when I'm driving it, there's no one else in the vehicle so no one to protect. I do wear a mask and gloves when I'm at my customers premises, wash my hands regularly and use hand sanitiser when I leave my van and when I re-enter it. How do you know your neighbour doesn't do the same? Do you follow him around to every job checking up on him?

"Households are also continuing with their weekly clean.

Working for your living isn't being self absorbed, arrogant or selfish. If I don't go to work then I would loose my job as the company I work has covid safe procedures that we adhere to. I think you're making a very generalise comment on something you don't know the full facts about. If you're working then great, if you're furloughed then at least you're getting an income, if you don't work then I'm not sure how you support yourself so can make no further comment.

"If I reported every time I noticed someone breaking the rules I would never be off the phone.

I suggest if you do feel others are breaking the rules then you should report them, but ensure they truly are breaking the rules before you start accusing people who are going about their lawful business.

Of course people should follow rules but in my experience this virus is difficult to catch. I have been travelling to London by train, in London using Tubes and occasionally buses, and although on public transport most people wear masks a lot of them are used as chinstraps so their nose and often mouth are uncovered. All though the first peak there were no masks.
I am going to various supermarkets and other shops when they were open. Even went to cinema and restaurants after first peak.
I have been in close contact with a number of people who have tested positive for COVID, I was instructed to self isolate twice which I did, but I didn't have the virus.
And apart from this if you are unlucky and catch the virus you are almost certain to recover.
The media are running a scare program and are very successful.

Lockdowns don’t work - Boris even said so back in December as have the WHO. We should be allowed to make our own decisions based on how vulnerable you and the people around you are and be treated like adults.

It’s clear that the government only care about COVID lives, what about all the untreated cancer deaths being one example :(

There are loads of people doing what they want every day, who cares! Bigger problems such as keeping food on the table due to the irreparable damage that has been caused by lockdowns. Also how can anyone be so daft to expect 100% compliance on something so controversial

All the best
