Dog mess at Holly Hills
- Dave (17th Jul 2011 - 19:37:03)

So I went for a walk with the dogs in Holly Hills this morning for the first time in a while. These are the woods by Old Thorns and the Deers Hut. I was amazed and horrified by the amount of dog poo on the paths today - you could hardly move for it. Since it will get on people's shoes and children's bike tyres etc. this is not clever. So I would like to post a mesage to the ignorant, inconsiderate, selfish and lazy people who's dogs are responsible for this, BUCK YOUR IDEAS UP! It takes moments to flick the mess off the path and into the thick stuff with a stick which is the very least you can do. Anybody I see not doing this is liable to find a bag of their dog's excrement coming their way along with some gentle words of encouragement not to do this in the future. You all know who you are and you're all a disgrace to dog owners across the country. Have I made myself clear?

Well said Dave! I've had a moan a couple of times on here about the general dog mess problem in Liphook.

Last week my five year old managed to step in some on the way to school, unfortunatley her childminder didn't notice and she walked it in to the class room. Consequently nasty mess for the school to clean up and my daughter came home distraught as the other children has picked up on it.

100% sick of it.

I totally agree with you all. I have three dogs and live in Devils Lane, and walk my dogs twice a day up here. I find it appalling that people can not pick up after their dogs. It is quite disgusting. I did contact the council but no one got back to me. Now we have other problems. I have even had mess left on the road in front of my house.

Bumping this thread because I feel more lazy scumbags need to read this and hopefully stop their dogs from creating this disgraceful mess.

ITS EVERY DOG OWNERS DUTY TO PICK UP AFTER THEIR DOGS!!!!
WHERE EVER THEY DECIDE TO GO, YOU SHOULD CLEAN IT UP, NO EXCUSES!
IT CAN CAUSE BLINDNESS IN CHILDREN AND IT IS ABOUT TIME OWNERS TOOK RESPONSIBILITY, MOST PEOPLE I SEE DO PICK UP BUT PLENTY OF OTHERS DONT. YOU WOULD NOT LEAVE IT LYING ABOUT IN YOUR OWN GARDEN.
PLEASE REMEMBER! BAD OWNERS NOT BAD DOGS!
