Hi Steve
My name is Michelle im the manager from the Little Chef, we do enter Liphook in bloom we have won the cup for the best retail ootlt for the pass two years but this year im sad to say we came no where not even in the top 3 my staff have worked so hard and even saved up there own tips to pay for them i cant belive it myself im so upset, one of my customers came in and said they had seen we had not won and had phoned the chairman to pass comment to him and got told there was a huge mix up with who had entered each class and even judeing of people that even had not entered,i really dont think we where even judged to be honest, we have had so many comments about our flowers from our customers saying how nice they are, we have said we will not be doing Liphook in bloom again

Michelle, Sorry you didn't win but please don't be bitter. It's not about the winning it's about taking part and supporting the community. The judging is always subjective, what one person likes another one hates!
Your baskets and floral displays are obviously stunning and for every person that compliments you and your team there will be many more that admire them without passing comment.
Be pleased with your hard work and efforts to make your working environment more pleasant for you, your staff and your customers.
Best wishes
Katy

Michelle, You had a third in the unusual container/basket catergory. Others never won anything. So please carry on and enter next year.

Re: little chef
- Philip Jordan (18th Jul 2011 - 15:58:46)
Having looked into the non inclusion of the Little Chef in the placing of results we have to apologies and say that
Liphook in Bloom have made an error and that the Little Chef entry was not judged.
An entry form was recieved for three catagories but in transposing to the judges lists their Retail premises entry was ommitted.
We can not put back the clock and rejudge, however Liphook in Bloom do not wish the quality of this lovely entry to go unrecognised. Consequently we have decided to ask Little Chef to accept a Special Recognition Award from the Lipook in Bloom Team which will be recognised by presentation of a Liphook in Bloom Plate and Certificate at the annual presentastion evening in October.
Mistakes get made and the volunteers of Liphook in Bloom whilst seeking to ensure all goes smoothly can only apologies when things go somewhat awry.
Philip Jordan (Chairman LiB Team)
