Silent Garden - man wanting to take electric meter readings - Resident (27th Nov 2020 - 20:31:12) Did anyone else at silent garden have a man doing the rounds from a company wanting to take electrical meter readings to feed back to British Gas today around mid-late morning Thanks

Re: Silent Garden - man wanting to take electric meter readings - CB (29th Nov 2020 - 09:18:37) We had a representative of British Gas call to take meter readings in Tunbridge Crescent. He had ID, a labelled jacket, and was very pleasant. Our meters are inside so he put on his mask and I was not concerned as we use BG for both utilities. However, we do all need to be very aware of scams so thanks you for the heads up.

Re: Silent Garden - man wanting to take electric meter readings - Resident (30th Nov 2020 - 11:29:08) Just incase anyone was concerned or interested, I called BT [British Gas ?] and it was infact them sending someone out to check electric meter readings as they do not feed automatically to BT. They say they do this if they have not had an up to date reading and will not notify you. Just make sure you check it is a legit person before you let them in if you decide to.
