Hollycombe Fairground Weekend 23/24 July - Anthony Hooker (12th Jul 2011 - 16:35:33) Hollycombe Steam In The Country on the Midhurst road will be holding their Traditional Fairground & Mechanical Organ Gathering weekend over the weekend of 23/24 July. Joining Hollycombe's resident steam fairground attractions over the weekend as a guest ride will be a super Orton & Spooner Motorcycle Speedway Ark ride built in 1934. There will also be two visiting juvenile roundabouts for the children as well as visiting side shows and fairground steam engines. Just announced for the weekend and not too be missed will be a first time visit to the collection and the local area of Meesham's Original Wall of Death Show www.messhamswallofdeath.com A fantastic entertainment show for the whole family & great valve for money. Watch the riders go round the wall challenging the laws of gravity! (small entry fee to view the show) There will also be displays of fairground models and vintage fairground transport plus all the normal attractions. The Mechanical Organ Gathering that complements the event, will see a wide range of visiting organs all of which will be playing throughout the course of the day.
