Land at the end of Muddy Lane
- Bernie (6th Nov 2020  19:55:39)

Does anyone know who owns the area of muddy puddles that the 4x4s love so much at the end of Muddy Lane? Seems it was fun to torch one in the middle of the mud on Bonfire Night. I guess all the broken window glass is at the bottom of the mud waiting for the wildlife to sever their feet.

Anyway, it would be good to know who owns the land and ask them if they would mind paying out for the wrecked eyesore to be removed.

It goes from Midhurst Road opposite. Chiltley Lane to the golf course by the railway bridge the footpath opposite the Links Pub . That joins up with the old London Road at Sandy Lane.

Muddy Lane is the track opposite the junction of Chiltley Way and Midhurst Road and leads to the bomb pits.

It’s not just 4x4s, there’s also a lot of damage to the paths through the woods up to The Sussex Border Path from off road motorbikes and quad bikes.

I believe that area of land belongs to the Highfield Estate (aka: Highfield School).
Call them to see if they do.
