It's a really fascinating read and will help to fund two very good causes- full of Liphook childrens' stories of growing up here and what Liphook was like for them back in the 1930s, '40s and '50s.
It really makes you reflect on memories of your own childhood, as well as learning about theirs.
Thanks to everyone who had a hand in making the book happen.

The story in this book was written by my brother when he was diagnosed with motor neuron. This is a disease that is not well know and sadly has no curer. So I decided to get the story printed and published so I could hopefully sell some to raise money for the Motor Neuron Research.
I would like to thank Liphook Heritage Centre for all the help they have given me to get the book published and all the people that have bought the book. I have been overwhelmed with the amount of the books we have sold and the number of people who told me how they enjoyed reading it even though they did not know Derek. He was a full time fireman in Guildford and Haslemere, was a trial rider and was known in all the local bike clubs.
I am now more determined to raise as much money as I can as I now have a very lovely friend with this terrible disease.
We have sold over 100 books at £5 a book and have raised nearly £600. I have sent them to Canada Spain and France but we now have another 100 books so if you knew Derek or Dik as all his friends called him, and you would like to buy a book I would happily send you one. If you live locally they are on sale in Gables Paper shop, and Lazy Lizard or you can phone 01428 723 823. They will also be on sale in the Heritage Centre when they can re open.
