Local business and local spirit - Bush (4th Oct 2020  16:15:01) Calling Liphook local businesses (of which we are one). As local consumers / shoppers, we do our best to support local initiatives during theses times as well as during other times . We try to buy locally even if dearer. However, we hope that being local we will be rewarded with a local "touch" of good service or at least basic good will to maintain good communication between business and consumer. Regrettably, all too often, small local businesses show little regard to the good will of local consumers. Off-hand attitude, failure to be open about potential problems, poor aftercare and poor communication (like not responding to messages) from our local businesses are enough to send our custom elsewhere (online, national / international providers) where stuff is cheaper and wait times are shorter. This is by no means specific to Liphook, and no doubt others have very positive experiences to report. However, we do try to make you feel appreciated, to support your economy - Simply put: Please reciprocate if you want our money.

Re: Local business and local spirit - passfield resident (4th Oct 2020  19:58:55) We've had very positive experiences with the local businesses we deal with, some of whom we've known for a long time. Some have gone out of their way to look after their customers during the last few months. Some may go out of business due to people shopping online more. We will go on supporting them.
