If I hadn't been paying attention at the roundabout in the square there would have been an accident You give way to traffic from the right. Not drive straight through and wave at the other driver you stupid moron. Did you pass a driving test?

Re: Idiot driver - Pete (2nd Sep 2020  13:52:24) Did they come flying out off Headley Road direction for apparently if your coming from Headley road that first roundabout doesn’t exist for those drivers, you can just treat it as if there is no junction at all and blast straight through. The amount of times I see drivers beeping a car that’s already joined the roundabout from London Road in a rage as they have had to put the brakes on from 40mph as they think they have total rights even though the London road car are already Well into the roundabout. They should put traffic lights on Headley road before someone gets hurt. Just because you can’t see to the left as Matubans building is in your way does not mean you can bomb through full speed

The speed watch bods in high viz are regulars in Selborne’s 20 mph zone (population 3 men and a dog) but rarely are they seen in the centre of Liphook with its huge volumes of traffic and many pedestrians including school children. Makes no sense!!

Re: Idiot driver - Bush (2nd Sep 2020  17:53:47) Need traffic calming infrastructure in village centre. That'll make it impossible to approach roundabouts, crossings etc' above 20mph. It will reduce risk of the nastier collisions and reduce non-essential local traffic.

Re: Idiot driver - k (3rd Sep 2020  10:07:50) This is a constant problem on all the roundabouts in LIphook - seems drivers round here just seem to think they don't have to give way to anybody - long term problem just arrogance of some drivers who think they are above the law. However do feel speed bumps bad idea - have you ever seen an ambulance trying to negotiate them - not a comfortable ride for a patient I am sure, especially if speed of the essence for their condition.

Re: Idiot driver - GP (3rd Sep 2020  12:27:36) Agree with Pete... give way to the right doesn’t mean you are entitled to barge across when somebody is already on the roundabout! Happens all the time coming from Longmoor Road. You arrive at the roundabout with nobody to your right, start moving then somebody will come charging from the other end of the square and just drive across in front of you. It’s dangerous!

Re: Idiot driver - Alex (3rd Sep 2020  14:41:45) Richard it surprises me that you've taken the time to state she was not driving fast, and had the decency to wave, possibly to appologise, do you really have so little going on in your life that you need to write a post on here and possibly public shame her, I'm aware you know the village and the roundabouts, it's generally the people coming from the Headley and village way that come hacking through over the roundabout, how do we know you were not driving in a wreckless way? Were supposed to just blame the woman!

If you read my original post I make no reference to the gender of the driver and it is yourself who has taken it upon yourself to turn my original post into a gender based diatribe, which it never was. Please be aware of the facts of the original post and aware of how to spell the word RECKLESS if you're going to use it.

You say you haven't said it was a lady driving in your comment but in your second and thrid comment you refer to the driver as a she. A she is a female the last time I looked. With these lies going around are you sure your not one of these drivers that fly across the roundabout from Headley road and carry on at 20 plus thinking you have the right of way because no cars are coming the other way but not thing to look to the left because your blind sided because of the building and other drivers coming of London road a bit slower than traffic off headly road. It's like a rat race coming out of there every day..

I think you'll find it was my second comment, i.e NOT the original one that mentions a gender. Very easy to check that, what a shame you both didn't
