Raising money for a very good cause - Jane Grove (1st Jul 2011 - 13:44:34) My daughter Katie (15) and I are running the 10k Race for Life in July for Cancer Research UK. This is a very personal run as we have run it every year in memory of our friend Sarah Povey who died of cancer 4 years ago at the age of 38. Sarah used to run the 5k Race for Life with us before she was so tragically struck down with cancer and died very suddenly. Many fellow Liphookians will I'm sure remember Sarah, particularly with regards to her involvement with Liphook Infant School. This is the 1st time we have attempted the 10k and it is involving a monumental effort as neither of us have run that far before.
