Welcome to Royston Vasey ?

I noted recently that for the second time in a couple of years, the Liphook signs on the roads coming into the village have been covered up by signs saying 'Royston Vasey'
I must admit, having seen the League of Gentlemen for the first time last night, I can have some sympathy for the perpetrators ! (Apologies to the local shopkeepers for this)
Does anyone know who is responsible for these signs? They make me smile. Perhaps they irritate others - what do you think?
