Does anyone pay Gables newsagent by bank transfer? I have been ringing them for days and the phone is either unanswered or permanently engaged. I am trying to pay my fathers newspaper bill (he has to stay home) and the bank details he has been given don’t match the account name of either Gables newsagent, Gables newsagents, Gables – I’m running out of ideas for the account name.
Can anyone help please? They don’t seem to have a website or email contacts either.

Try a combination of Kaushick Patel Bhavnika Patel
I did it on the bank form which the Gables issued...it is true that the account name doesn't accurately fit the account...but if you put Gables News and the sort code and account number it goes through OK...
so sorry we are trying to get it sorted we close at 1pm

Thanks both. I tried those additional combinations but Santander was still saying the account didn’t match. Have wasted so much time on it today that I’ve gone with Bill’s suggestion of “Gables News” and hoping for the best.
Now that the Banks are finally matching names and account numbers, might be worth Gables (or whoever they are) correcting their details.
Can use 'Gables News' if Gables could just confirm on here that the sort code and account number on their printed slips are correct and it is just the name that is the problem. Don't want to pay the wrong people!

on lloyds you can still pay even if name doesnt match is just a check to make sure you have sort code and account number correct.
