U R G E N T !!!
- Eneida Nelson (11th Jun 2011 - 17:27:33)

A young female tortoise shell cat has been found wondering about on the Headley Road near the Fish & Chip shop.

She seems to be in good condition, but was very hungry so may have been lost for a little while. The real worry is that she's obviously recently had kittens!!

The Vet was shut so we couldn't get her checked for a micro-chip, but will keep her until Monday and try again, unless her owner comes forward.

If she's your cat or you know who the owner is please contact me on 07780-647527 or Daniel at the chip shop.

Are you sure you shouldn't let her go in case she has had her kittens in 'the wild' so to speak? She may have had them outdoors in a garden/shed/park etc and is now separated from them. Obviously you know the condition she was in better than anyone else so it may be inappropriate to let her go, and I think it's lovely of you to be caring for her, just had a slight worry for any kittens left on their own.

I can report a happy and quite extraordinary outcome to this story.

We took the cat to the Vet this morning to check for a micro-chip...none was found...but while we were waiting to pay at the desk afterwards, a girl walked in, saw her in the carrier and said "that's my cat"!!

Apparently she's looking after the cat and FOUR kittens for her father who's currently moving house. It was wonderful to see how happy they were to be reunited with Mum...

Maggie (the cat) got out through a bathroom window whilst she was away and that's obviously the reason why she she couldn't find her way back to them because it's not her actual home and she got lost.

The kittens are gorgeous and I'm going to buy one of them :)
