Liphook Herald Headlines ....
- Finchie (10th Jun 2011 - 18:57:38)

http://www.liphookherald.com/

Now this is how bored I\'ve got and with a bit of time to kill ... I was hoping to re-read the article a few weeks ago to see if it made any more sense the third/fourth/fifth time of reading. You remember the one - the unintilligible article covering a third of the front page about secret council meetings and \"he said\", \"she said\".

It wasn\'t there - but I do read \"MP James Arbuthnot to stand down\".

I\'m sure this will trigger a torrent of abuse re: the expenses debacle (sorry to bring that up Mr Arbuthnott) BUT I would like to publicly thank Mr Arbuthnott for the great support he gave us many years ago in the \"Great Train Scandal\". Also local transport consultant, John Tough was incredibly helpful at that time too. Thank You Both.

Another observation - all the Liphook Herald site does is give a headline - and ask you to buy the paper. I have just spent 2 days at a newspaper summit learning with the key theme - Print will be dead. Very dead. Much sooner than people realise.

I hope Tindle Newspapers (who own the many Herald titles) are planning for the digital future, otherwise they will not have a business in 5 years. Remember - you heard it here first.

A curious set of links !

Cheers, Finchie
