New Italian
- sarah (17th Mar 2020 - 18:35:23)

The new Italian restaurant is looking lovely. Anyone know if it is opening soon? Awful timing for the owners

Certainly the timing could be better but at least they’re not in, well, Italy.

- Sarah2 (17th Mar 2020 - 21:45:04)

It does look lovely, very smart. Once everything settles we will definitely be visiting.

D- amazing humour. Any idea how far apart the tables will be at Quarantino's and whether they'll have over 70's specials?

If they do deliveries I for one would be more than willing to support them - challenging times, we really should look after and support locals where possible.

Re: New Italian
- Guido's (20th Mar 2020 - 10:25:20)

Thank you all for the lovely messages of support. Not exactly how we envisaged our first opening, but as things stand, we are working on a delivery offer fulfilled at the beginning through the Rising Sun pub in Milland until such time as we can stand on our own feet.

So from tomorrow afternoon 5PM-9.30pm you can order our authentic Italian hand crafted pizza and other delicious food by calling the Rising Sun, 01428 741347, and we shall deliver straight to your door. Any more info can be found on our Facebook page.

Oh, just to be clear, the name is Guido's, as much as quarantino's did take my fancy as a name ...😅

I have just seen on their facebook page that they have teamed up with The Rising Sun to start delivering pizza. I believe the menu is on The Rising Sun's website. They look delicious in the pictures!

Will you be doing gluten free?

Re: New Italian
- Rachel (20th Mar 2020 - 14:16:46)

I live opposite and have been watching the developments with hungry eyes
Last night as I walked past several people were trying out freshly cooked pizza. I almost asked if they had any free samples lol.
I really hope they succeed as the amount of hard work these guys have put into this venture is extensive.
Every best wishes for the future x

- Rachel (20th Mar 2020 - 20:17:31)

I'm not on facebook so if anyone can tell me what the food was like i'd be grateful :-)

Precisely. We are not all on Facebook, in case you wanted us in the conversation.
Best of luck to Guido's, we needed you Corona or otherwise!

They are very good

Are they doing better pizza than the Pizza van on London Road? Pizza is rather expensive

Re: New Italian
- Rachel (22nd Mar 2020 - 14:42:11)

Thank you guys.
My partner and I shared one ourselves last night, the vegetarian one.
It was extremely tasty. I only got two pieces mind you as my partner eats a lot quicker than I do! x

Thank you all for the lovely messages and all your support. We will be closed tomorrow to give everyone a well deserved rest after some very hectic non stop weeks. We will be back on Tuesday from 4 pm. Stay safe everyone

Re: New Italian
- E (22nd Mar 2020 - 21:45:54)

Enjoy a well deserved rest! Pizzas were absolute perfection, service brilliant and friendly. Will be ordering again :)

Re: New Italian
- Guido's (23rd Mar 2020 - 18:05:52)

Given the seriousness of the situation, we have decided to take the preventative measure of closing for the foreseeable future in order to safeguard staff, clients and community. We thank you all for all the great support you've shown us and hope to be able to open when safer to do so.
