Liphook's future times
- paul (23rd May 2011 - 21:32:23)

HI all local's,
Now we are close to the Hindhead tunnel opening, how is Liphook to the south going to welcome people from the north?
Any ideas?

Build a wall and keep Surrey out!

Too many BMWs in the village, and the beer prices will go up!

On the other hand us peasants in the south, could sneak through and skirmish in Thursley

I will Look forward to not sitting in the Traffic each time i need to go north.

Simon

I believe the correct welcome for someone from the north is "Na-then Sunshine" !

More seriously what about "Liphook - Gateway to the South Downs National Park".

Skirmishing in Thursley sounds like fun, but why stop there!!

We could go on and lay siege to Guildford...that would show those Northerners the sort of people they'll have to deal with by coming into our territory ;)

Well, most people will probably drive right past. Have you seen how poor the signage is coming from the Guildford end?

There is a brown sign for the Steam Trains right before the bend, then the 111 sign, then the 11 sign then the 1 sign.

Only after you come around the corner and pretty much missed it does the junction sign come in to view.

Then there is no lamp posts, no white line and no cats eyes.

Great Welcome!

Well Dawn your first job as a Parish Councillor then.
Get the Highways Agency to cut back the trees and wash the signs so everyone can see them.
As a councillor you'll have more clout now.

My thoughts exactly Darren!

That's the plan!
